My final work is a 2D animated short following the narrative of the origin of Peter Pan, before his classic adventures in Neverland. Based on the novel Peter Pan in Kensington gardens by JM Barrie. Throughout my studies, I have concentrated on honing my directing skills.  As such, composition, cinematography and framing of “the shot” have been my primary preoccupation. This has been closely followed by colour design and staging. Understanding the importance of sound and music has also given me an advantage of adapting the narrative to screen. The adopted aesthetic includes a naïve childlike approach to convey Peter’s point of view telling the story. My choice in the structure of the film aids the narrative further with portraying the theme of child abandonment and how children cope with it.
