This work celebrates the life of my Nan’s kindness and generosity – with insights into how Joey, my uncle, copes with; autism, epilepsy and learning disorders. Also, containing references to the impact of government funding and a carer’s responsibility. With reference to post-modernism, this work encompasses a non-linear method of documenting events with honesty to their representational memory. This style of work allows an audience to get a glimpse of what it’s like to have and live with someone who has a disability, especially in regards to the effect it has on a family’s life: Mother, Father and siblings. The techniques used include elements of Experimental Animation; which focuses on universal human experiences and the unfolding of consciousness within Film and Animation – creating a unique experience for the target audience.
